Vieau announces plans for spring neighborhood meetings

Transportation Stakeholder Input

In 2016, The Transportation Resource Advisory Forum for Carson City (TRAFCC) was created in order to give Carson City staff and the public a forum to discuss local transportation issues and also to educate the community about current and upcoming transportation projects.

In Feb 2022, The Carson City Regional Transportation Stakeholder Coalition (RTSC) succeeded the TRAFCC. RTSC was created in order to establish a regular connection and conference to discuss transportation issues, projects and prioritizations. The Transportation Division actively seeks engagement and cooperation from the community and its' stakeholders. The first RTSC meeting was held on February 15, 2022.

The goals of the RTSC are to:

  • Provide public and community outreach and engagement related to transportation related topics.
  • Ensure development of transportation related programs and projects that serve the best interests of the region.
  • Improve services available within the community related to mobility challenges and needs.
  • Serve as champions and ambassadors for transportation in the region for all modes, but especially for transit and multimodal users.

While the TRAFFCC was succeeded by the RTSC, past TRAFFCC meetings can be found here along with additional information related to presentations given as part of the South Carson Street Complete Streets Project.
